Pirate Day - 5.7.17

Satellite Arts came in to school to perform their Pirate Show for all the children.  This was our party day to say goodbye to Mrs Drury who will be retiring at the end of this school year.  The whole school and nursery dressed as pirates and were under the command of Captain Drury, a fantastic time was had by everyone.
Goodbye Mrs Drury, we are going to miss you.

World Book Day 2.3.17

RSPB Birdwatch 19th and 20th January 2017

As part of our work supporting the RSPB bird watch children in school spent a session with their families taking part in themed activities around garden birds. Many thanks to parent helpers and volunteers who made the event possible.

Children enjoyed bird spotting, undertaking orienteering activities, made bird hides and bird feeders. Children in Year 1 and 2 also walked around the local community spotting places that are encouraging birds into the area. Year 1 were delighted to see many bird tables/feeders, nests in trees and plants with berries that would encourage the bird and provide food and homes. Thankfully this year the weather as kind to us and we had a fabulous time!

We hope that by taking the bird feeders home we will be helping to make our local community an inviting place for bird, and enable our children to take part in the RSPB Garden Bird Watch at home.
